This one is a 2015 model DY20, but wait - was purchased used from a coffee shop that had a vision that never took place. Mild use, then went into storage for 2 years. Current owner purchased and put it into production for only 1 year averaging 50 roasts a week in perfection. Customers love it! They merged with another coffee roastery that has equipment place so no longer needing this offering, making it available to you now.
During the time used for the year, out of the gate the owner upgraded the gas valves from the twist type to handle ball-valve that gave it better flow and control.
This beautiful roaster was cleaned regularly, no fires, no issues. Comes with a vacuum loader as seen in the pictures. External chaff collector and double-walled insulated Nordfab vent ducting included, estimated 3 sections.
Last roast was in April of 2022. Still connected, but ready to decommission, crate up, and ship to your location.

ABOUT THE DONGYI ROASTER
This machine boasts a different type of design where only half of the heat is hitting the drum as the other half is fully convection - as this is done in order to get taste control over the roast profile. This lack of direct heat on the drum also means that it can roast hour upon hour without changing the profile. Special TIG welding was used on the drum so that no sharp edges or weld marks to irritate the beans as they move. Smart manufacturing.
That drum as well as the cooling table are all running Japanese bearings - so this is a really good feature. Also, makes it simple to change - as those bearings are standard here in the US. Two adjustable Omron controllers - one for temp and the other for a time . . . however, the temp is the most important. Both controllers are digital. You can see the flame, and use the trier and see the beans via site glass . . . or all methods of watching the roast are at your disposal. Cooling is totally separate from roasting - so both can operate at the same time. Uses all Addka Japanese motors - very tough and with a US-based Service Center.
The loader is a vacuum style. No more lifting of coffee. (No) Smoke and Odor as the exhaust is run through an electrostatic cleaner - which is vented to the outside world - so you never have to worry about smoke and odor bothering your neighbors.
