Performs Perfectly. This One Won't Last!
Check out another beautiful and well taken care of classic 12 kilo Probat L12 Roaster. No problems, no defects. This is a solid machine. Built circa 1995.
WATCH IN ACTION:
Burner fuel is currently natural gas. Was converted originally from propane. Owner still has the propane burner heads and gas valve spring to convert over if needed.
This machine was purchased 3 years ago from a friend that upgraded to a Loring. Prior owner was a prominent coffee shop in Portland. It's had a solid running life of typical 20 batches a day, 4 days a week.
Owner has maintained and taken care of this workhorse. He's installed a new power switch, belt, chain, cooling tray gear and bearings have been replaced. Gas train has been rebuilt. Typical wear parts replaced. Also switched the gas meter over to digital.
This L12 has a pair of thermocouples for bean and environment temps. The chaff collector is built in with access at front of the machine. Quiet running. Requires one vent to the outside world.
Heat shield between burners and drum have been removed. Will come with the machine and can easily be put back in.
In production, this workhorse can roast up to 10,000 lbs. a week, depending on roast. On a strong 10 hr. production day, a max 25 lb. batch @ 6 batches p/hr. would roast over 10,000 lbs. of coffee in a week, with no problems. Probat's are strong, solid machines that carry the reputation that holds up.
