CoffeeTec is a global coffee roastery development company. We connect roasteries, coffeehouses, and other coffee businesses with the equipment, financing, consulting, and education they need to grow. That might mean buying your first roaster, or moving your tenth one along to its next owner.
With more than 3,000 new and used listings in our online store, we're one of the largest marketplaces for coffee roasting equipment anywhere. Customers have called us the "Amazon of the coffee industry," and it's an easy comparison to make: new roasters, used roasters, and nearly every piece of supporting equipment a roastery needs, all in one place.
Five Decades in Coffee Equipment
Jay Endres, a 44-year veteran of gourmet coffee machinery development, founded CoffeeTec in 1972. Along the way, he helped shape design changes across roasters, grinders, display methods, and lab and quality control instruments. Endres was part of the early coffee movement in the 1970s and 1980s, with Alfred Peet of Peet's Coffee and Howard Schultz of Starbucks as industry colleagues.
That history still shapes how we operate. We attend major coffee shows, hold memberships in several coffee associations, and keep close relationships with manufacturers across the US, Europe, and Asia. Our own engineers and product specialists also work on what's coming next for the industry, not just what's already on the shelf.
Built for Both Sides of the Transaction
CoffeeTec works as a two-sided marketplace, and the site is built around that. If you're buying, you can search by size, type, and brand, or tell our team what you need and let us track it down for you. If you're selling, our CT Connect program handles the market research, advertising, and logistics.
Ready to list something now instead of just browsing the program details? You can list your equipment directly and our team will take it from there.
Selling doesn't have to be the end of the relationship either. Plenty of roasters sell an old machine through us and then come back for help with layout, commissioning, or a broader business question. Our consulting team covers all of that.
A Track Record You Can See
We've partnered with more than 100 clients on projects ranging from a single roaster swap to a full plant build. That list includes Costco Wholesale, Caffé D'Arte, Black Rock Coffee Bar, and Evans Brothers Coffee, alongside plenty of independent roasteries just getting started. You can read the details in our project case studies.
Keeping Good Equipment in Use
A commercial coffee roaster is built to run for decades, not years. When a roastery upgrades, the old machine usually still has plenty of roasting left in it. Connecting that machine with a business that needs it keeps good equipment working instead of sitting idle. That's the idea behind both sides of what we do.
New to the equipment itself? Our coffee equipment glossary is a good place to get familiar with the terms before you buy or sell.
