Description
Never Used 2014 Diedrich IR-5!
Uncrated, Installed, 1 Batch Ran, Re-Crated
Ok. So, you're going "huh"?!!!
This is a never used 2014 Diedrich IR-5 and it's stealth flat black - a roaster's favorite. It was originally purchased directly from Diedrich in 2015 and installed in a beautiful boutique roastery.
The story goes that during build out of the new facility, unbelievably the zoning changed, requiring an afterburner to be part of the exhaust chain. Blew the budget right out the window for the owner. :( With no other option, the machine was disconnected and re-crated. There's been a few other possibilities over the following years to have the dream come true but never materialized.
Time to sell this sweetheart and get it doing what it was designed to do - now in your roastery.
This IR-5 has a set of thermocouples and the roast logging connect Phidget with USB port. Very easy to hook up to Artisan or Cropster.
BONUS: There is an option to include about 20' of new Selkirk double-walled stainless steel ducting - a $7000 value. Seller will sacrifice all for an additional $2500.
This roaster is currently in its original shipping box, saving you the cost of crating - about $800 in value.
The 5k Diedrich IR-5 can handle small batches as small as 250 grams (1/2 lb) or as large as 5 kg (11 lbs.). Roasts up to 44 lbs. per hour with the right roast profile. Comes with Stainless steel cooling tray and stirrer arms.
This IR-5 currently runs on natural gas. Conversion kits are available direct from Diedrich to convert to Propane if necessary.
- Diedrich's IR (infra-red) burner system integrates directly with Cropster and Artisan for a precise roast profile.
- Infrared gas burners allow you to roast with conductive, convective, and radiant heat with total control.
- Collect and save data when using roast profiling software.
This 5-kilo Diedrich Roaster won't be around very long!
All roasters are sold as-is. Crating and Shipping not included in the listed price.
