Uncrated in 2020! Less than 50 Hours!
This is a sweetheart of roaster! A 2018 White Diedrich IR-5 in BRAND NEW CONDITION as you can see by the pictures. Has only had 1 owner and has LESS THAN 50 HOURS ROASTING TIME!
Here's the story. Seller ordered this roaster direct from Diedrich, purchased in 2018. When it in finally arrived, he had a change of location that wouldn't accommodate the equipment. When acquiring new facility in 2020, they uncrated this IR-5 for the first time and started roasting. Now, they are needing to increase batch size beyond 5 kilo, so no longer need it.
It is immaculate, seasoned, well taken care of, and is in perfect condition. No fires. No over-roasting. It has been in use for about 10 months for profiling and practicing. Total time on this machine is less than 50 hours. It has a creamy white matte finish that will look good in any environment.
This IR has the 6 thermocouple package from Diedrich, including bean, ambient, and exhaust temps. A $2100 value alone. Also has the roast logging connect Phidget with USB port. Very easy to hook up to Artisan or Cropster.
But wait! Current owner added a VFD (variable frequency drive) to adjust the drum speed motor. This can stay with the roaster, or removed to put it back to original condition.
This 5k Diedrich IR-5 can handle small batches as small as 250 grams (1/2 lb) or as large as 5 kg (11 lbs.). Roasts up to 44 lbs. per hour. Stainless steel cooling tray and stirrer arms.
This IR-5 currently runs on natural gas. Conversion kits are available direct from Diedrich to convert to Propane if necessary.
