How Selling with CoffeeTec Works
List your item
Fill out our short "Quick-Fill" equipment form, including the amount you'd like to receive. We review your item, give you a quick call, and draft your listing for you to check before it goes live.
We handle the sale
Your equipment goes on a website that roasters search every day. We also promote it through digital ads, social media, our coffee industry database and our direct roastery relationships. Buyer questions, negotiation, terms and logistics all run through us.
You get paid
Run your roastery. Drink your coffee. Get paid. Your time stays on your business, not on answering buyer calls.
No commission, no cuts, no discounts off your price. We work to get you the full price you ask for. A nominal selling fee is added to your selling price, so the buyer covers it, not you.
What Happens After You Submit
The form is not an automatic listing. A real person on our team reviews every submission. Here is what to expect, and who handles each step.
We review your details
Our team checks your equipment details, photos, video and the amount you'd like to receive. Expect a reply within a few business days, then a quick call to go over the machine with you.
We draft your listing
We write the listing on coffeetec.com with your photos and video. Each used item is described against our used equipment condition guidelines, so buyers know what they're looking at.
You review and approve it
We send you a review link to the draft. Check the details, ask for any changes, and approve it. Nothing goes live until you do.
Your listing goes live
Once you approve, we publish the listing and start promoting it to buyers.
We work with the buyer
When a buyer is interested, we answer their questions and handle negotiation, terms and shipping logistics. We keep you updated along the way.
What to Have Ready
Good photos and a short video help your equipment sell. Gather these before you start the form:
- Photos from every angle, plus inside the compartments to show condition (required)
- A clear photo of the build plate or label showing the brand, model and serial number (required)
- A walk-around video of under a minute showing the machine running: power on, burners firing, agitator turning
- The amount you'd like to receive for the equipment, in US dollars
- Where the equipment sits, for shipment pickup
- Its fuel type, power supply, and whether it has a data log connection for Cropster or Artisan
- When it was last used, its use history, and its service and cleaning history
- Any problems or defects, other included equipment (such as ductwork), and anything else for the comments field

Equipment We List
CoffeeTec focuses on roastery and coffee production equipment. That includes:
- Coffee roasters of every size, from sample roasters and 1 kg shop roasters to 20 kg+ industrial machines, in drum, air and electric designs
- Brands such as Probat, Diedrich, US Roaster Corp, Giesen, Loring, Mill City, San Franciscan, Ikawa and others
- Complete roastery plants and mini plants
- Packaging equipment: baggers and VFFS machines, fillers and net weigh scales, sealers, K-Cup lines and nitrogen generators
- Roastery support equipment: afterburners, destoners, grinders, silos, loaders, mixers and cupping lab gear
We are so sorry, but at this time we are not listing espresso, brewers, or any coffee shop/café type coffee serving machines.
Roasters make up most of what sellers bring us. Of the 265 listings CoffeeTec posted between October 2024 and October 2026, 195 were production roasters and roastery plants, and Diedrich and Probat were the most-listed brands. The other 70 covered packaging lines, sample roasters, grinders, afterburners and QC gear.

FAQs
Does CoffeeTec take a commission when I sell my equipment?
+No. CoffeeTec takes no commission, cut or discount from your asking price. A nominal selling fee is added on top of your price for the buyer.
How is the asking price for my equipment set?
+You set it. The form asks for the amount you'd like to receive, and we go over it with you on the review call. The price then appears in the draft listing you approve before anything goes live.
Do I need photos and video to list?
+Photos are required, including one of the nameplate with the brand, model and serial number. A short video of the machine running is strongly recommended, because buyers want to see it working.
Can I sell a complete roastery or several machines at once?
+Yes. List the main machine in the form and add the rest in the "Other Included Equipment" field. We'll go over the package with you on the review call.
