Description

Wow, Right? Built around 1909, still working great!

SEE VIDEOS BELOW OF IT RUNNING!

This is a fantastic 2-barrel sample roaster. She's simply a wonderful little workhorse 2-barrel roaster.  It's been kept in great condition in the owner's coffee quality control laboratory.

Each barrel holds about 300 grams max. This Burns Sample Roaster can roast to SCA standards for cupping without any issues.

Has an electric motor (see pictures) and fitted for natural gas. Usual imperfections for an old well-used sample roaster.

The owner expanded to a 4-barrel sample roaster based on needed volumes. They did not install this unit when moving to their current location in 2016.

Jabez Burns company is now Burns Roasting, with equipment being manufactured by Probat in the USA. Learn more about history timeline of Jabez Burns from the Probat website.

And, here's a fun blog article on the Jabez Burns Sampler Roaster, with awesome graphics. Fun Read for sure!
