This 2015 Diedrich IR-5 is in BRAND NEW CONDITION as you can see by the picture - it's still in the crate originally from Diedrich. Manufactured in last quarter 2015 and has only had 1 owner.
IT'S MATTE BLACK IN FINISH.
Here's the rub. Track this: Original owner purchased brand new and never left the crate due to having other options for roasting. Their model changed to roasting internally, volume needed to be higher than a 5 kilo batch roaster can put out. So CoffeeTec sold it to it's current owner 9 months ago. They never got it out of the crate either due to issues with business start up. So, here it is, looking for a new home to finally start roasting!
This IR has the thermocouple package #2 from Diedrich, including bean, ambient, and exhaust temps. Also has the roast logging connect Phidget with USB port.
This 5k Diedrich IR-5 can handle small batches as small as 250 grams (1/2 lb) or as large as 5 kg (11 lbs.). Roasts up to 44 lbs. per hour. Stainless steel cooling tray and stirrer arms.
This IR-5 currently runs on natural gas. Conversion kits are available direct from Diedrich to convert to Propane if necessary.
