The Diedrich IR‑1 is one of the most respected sample/profile roasters in specialty coffee. It allows you to confidently roast:

• 200 grams to 1 kilogram per batch (½ lb – 2.2 lbs)
• Up to 8.8 lbs per hour

Designed with infrared burners, this IR‑1 delivers clean, balanced heat transfer that produces crisp, nuanced roasts with excellent repeatability and control.

It’s essentially a scaled‑down version of Diedrich’s larger IR production roasters, offering the same roast quality and control, but in a compact, lab‑friendly footprint.
