A hand impulse sealer is a manual, hand-operated unit that closes coffee bags and other poly packaging with a quick burst of heat instead of constant warm-up time. Hand impulse sealers are a common starting point for small and mid-size roasteries. One Thing to Check Before You Buy

Not every coffee bag works with a single-element hand sealer. Side-gusseted bags require all four layers to be sealed at once, which a hand impulse sealer can't do on its own.
