This is the classic 1 kilo Probat Probatino Roaster and it's in excellent condition. Just look at the picture!
Ok, here's the story. The current owner originally purchased it in April of 2019. Hasn't been roasted on since, but was just ran this month to confirm fully operational. They got it from a prominent coffee roaster in a major roastery equipment acquisition who originally acquired it as a roasting "award". So, bottom line is it has very "low milage on it".
The reason being sold is it's too big for sampling and too small for production batches for this company. Current owner hoping to find a good home for this beauty.
Probat’s Probatino is perfect if you're looking for a sample or boutique-style roaster that's super high quality but aren't wanting to pay 16-20K for a new model of similar stature.
This solid 1k roaster has a straightforward roasting operation with digital time and temperature display creates excellent bean patterns. This is due to the special shovel mechanism that mixes the coffee evenly.
This little gem is awesome for both small production and testing. Fun to compare to its bigger Probat brothers and sisters, as it's just as solid. Probat. An outstanding roast quality and reputation.
The heating element runs propane. Motors are 110 volts. The approximate weight is 363 lbs.
This roaster does not come with a separate roasting cyclone. Can be acquired from Probat direct if needed.
